Melbourne Location Currently Offering Free Flu Shots - While supplies last

We’ve heard many patients say they did not know they needed a flu shot after the month of December. While there is a major increase in flu cases in the months of October through November, Flu cases peak between the months of December and March. In addition, the virus can continue to spread until the month of May! Most are shocked to hear this information, but we must remember that this virus is unpredictable and highly contagious.

Our Downtown Melbourne Location is currently offering FREE Flu shots, for a limited time, while supplies last.

As far as first signs of symptoms go, you can usually tell when you have the flu, however it is always best to get checked out by a doctor. Symptoms can include; chills, fever, congestion, muscle aches, fatigue, runny nose and headaches. Muscle aches can be severe and accompanied by fatigue. Some may also experience swollen lymph nodes, sore-throat, nausea, chest discomfort and shortness of breath. These symptoms are no joke, and can leave you not able to accomplish much for about two weeks, and longer in some cases.

There are certain groups of people that have a higher risk for contracting the flu. This includes pregnant women, adults over the age of 65, children under the age of 5 and also it has been noted that American Indians and Alaskan Natives can be at higher risk as well.
